Bernard Erickson has over 31 years experience in the electrical lighting industry with successful projects at many Fortune 500 company facilities throughout the United States. He currently holds the position of Division Manager at Facilities Solutions Group ("FSG"), a national distributor of top-brand lighting and electrical products and the 18th largest electrical contractor in the United States. In 2006, Bernard and his team from O.K. Electric Supply Company joined FSG. He began working at O.K. Electric in 1980 and held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Bernard is currently the President of The National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions. The NCQLP is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 to serve and protect the well-being of the public through effective and efficient lighting practice. Mr. Erickson holds a BA in Communications from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and an MBA in Marketing from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey.
Robert Neill, FCA
Mr. Neill became a Partner of Durward Jones Barkwell & Company LLP (DJB) in 1982, and was most recently the Firm Managing Partner and a member of the Firm Management Committee. DJB is one of the largest public accounting firms in the Niagara/Hamilton/Halton region. He has served as Vice Chair of Brock University, President of the Welland/Pelham Chamber of Commerce, Chair of Niagara's Bid for the Canada Games and is currently involved in numerous other community organizations. In 1999, Mr. Neill was elected to serve as a Member of Council for the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants and was the organization's Chair for 2002/2003. He served as a Board Member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants from 2004 to 2010. Mr. Neill qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977, after graduating from Brock University with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in 1975. He had the honour of receiving his F.C.A. in 1991.
Travis Jones is a member of the board and President & Chief Executive Officer of CRS Electronics Inc. The company is a leader in the emerging, rapidly growing market of high efficiency light emitting diode (“LED”), or, solid state lighting (“SSL”).
Prior to becoming a CEO, Jones was Vice President of National Account Sales for Lighting Science Group. During his tenure, this division grew from 3 accounts to 60 in eighteen months, increased sales by 75% and improved gross margin by 35%.
Record setting performances achieved within short periods of time have been a consistent pattern throughout his career. Jones has been described as a “lightning bolt of energy, able to create winning strategies and build support from every layer within a company.”
He began his executive career in 2000 as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Visa Lighting where he rescued a declining business. Revenue increased 25%, profits before taxes grew 800 basis points, and the company won the prestigious AD-Q marketing award twice in 18 months.
He then became Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Antique Street Lamps in Austin, Texas where the company was losing $2 million annually. In just two years it became the most profitable of 14 divisions within Acuity Brands. He was promoted to leading the entire Austin business division and grew sales 35% and profit before taxes increased 333 basis points.
His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance, Market Wire, Electrical Line, Market Watch, The Edison Report, Tech News, and LED Magazine. He volunteers speaking at college venues most recently following former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
A native of Florence, Wisconsin, Travis Jones earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration and a B.A. in Philosophy from Lakeland College in 1990.
