| On September 3, 2008, Welland, Ontario the hometown of CRS Electronics joined the LED City® initiative, an international program that promotes the deployment of energy efficient LED lighting. The City is using LED light engines co-developed by CRS Electronics and a major streetlight fixture manufacturer to replace many of its street lights. Welland plans to amend its municipal standards to accommodate LED lighting for all future street light installations. |  |
